New River Trail

The New River Trail State Park follows the New River which was used as a railroad in the 1900's. This 57 miles of trail starts in Galax, VA and end in Pulaski, VA providing much to see and do while hiking this trail though, Grayson, Carroll, Wythe, and Pulaski counties. Activities may include, bicycling, camping, fishing, horseback riding, picinicing and don't forget to visit the historic Shot Tower which was used to make ammunition over two centuries ago.
